    In times of Darkness…

    We can not see
    The light and how it is to be
    We lose our faith in all that’s good
    And death stands where life once stood

    We fear that which we don’t understand
    In turn we strike back and instill its hand

    We envy when we should admire
    And take that which we strongly desire

    And when our wishes don’t come true
    We turn to rage blinding our view

    Yet some pull through and hope the best
    Instead they see pain as a test

    While others find great joy in giving
    They assist those grow content with living

    When those emotions don’t prevail
    We turn to love that never fails

    Someday life will return again
    And light the rest of the way
    Through these dark times and find
    The dawn of a brand new day
