Basically: A group of people comes together on Earth. They don't know each other yet. Various ages, personalities, guys and girls. They each have a different reason for being where they are, and once they're assembled, they wonder why.
They start to meet each other, but before they can figure anything out, -something- magical/technological happens that sends the group of them off to a different dimension!
They're separated in this new world (not earth, obviously) and start trying to find each other, because now they're the only other people like themselves if that makes sense.
It turns out that the only way to move on is for the whole group to reassemble. When that happens, Voila! They get shot off to a new dimension (and separated) again
Their hope is that eventually they will be sent back home to earth
...but along their journeys complications come up. What if one person doesn't want to go back? They could ruin things for the whole group! What if someone gets in trouble? Falls in love with a native? Dies?
The possibilities are endless! And each one of us would be one (or more) of the dimension-travellers. We could take turns coming up with the new environments.
The whole time we would have to try to figure out 1) How did we get sent off? 2) Is there someone behind all this? 3) Why us? What's special about us that we can jump dimensions? (Powers?)
