And She Smiled Empty And She Smiled

    Post  laurabelle May 2nd 2011, 7:08 pm

    She wasn't one for sadness,
    She wasn't one for quitting,
She liked to rhyme her words,
    But sometimes rhymes weren't fitting.

She had her ideals in hand,
She had her goals set straight,
    She underestimated love,
    And the cruel, vindictive Fates.

It wasn't that she'd give up,
It wasn't that she would fail,
    But stumbling is never fun,
Though it's always part of life's tale.

So she looked to the sky with tear'd eyes,
    She wrapped herself in tomorrow.
She welcomed in joy and promise,
    Driving away any sorrow.

She was never one for melancholy,
    Never easily beguiled.
She looked to her friends and her future,
And at them, yes, at them she smiled.

    You are quote-worthy!
More detailed reply later, that's just my first and favourite impression
